Chickens in Idaho love to eat lots of extra food when the weather is cold. This is largely due to the fact that they require more energy to keep warm. The egg production is reduced by 10% when they don't get sufficient food. The best tasting fried chicken is very tender and delicious if they are kept in warmer environments. Tend your chickens with lots of tlc, be sure to keep the heaters sufficiently warm and provide them with a few extra choruses of "When the Red Red Robin comes Bob-bob-bobbin Along" and you'll have the best clucks in town.
